Glide Shift Transmission (GST) is a hydraulically shifted mechanical transmission that permits clutchless gear shifting without the power loss common to other types of transmissions. For quick and easy speed selection without clutching, the 8-stage gear shift lever moves in a straight direction. The clutchless shuttle shift permits simple, quick change to forward or reverse gear.

With bevel-gear four-wheel drive, the front wheels turn tighter. Regardless of the turning angle up to 54 ^o, power is transmitted smoothly to the wheels.

The 2-pump hydraulic system has a total capacity of 17.3 gal./min. The larger of the hydraulic pumps is used exclusively for loader and backhoe operations.

Built-in hydrostatic power steering simplifies steering and is helpful during prolonged loader work.

Operator comfort is increased by reduced vibrations thanks to the full-floating ISO-mounted flat deck. The flat deck provides easy access from either side. Hanging-type pedals provide ample leg room and foot space.
